Scooters Peak power ≈ Rated power × 2.5~3 times
60V voltage 2*600W dual motor, how to calculte the peak power?
Scooters Peak power ≈ Rated power × 2.5~3 times
Parameters sorted out:
- Battery voltage: 60V
- Single motor rated power: 600W
- Total rated power of dual motors: 1200W
But actually in fact we think the calculation is not good.
1. Calculate rated operating current
Single motor rated current:
Total rated current of dual motors:
2. Industry peak power ratio for electric scooters
Industry common ratio:
Peak power ≈ Rated power × 2.5~3 times
- Calculated at 2.5 times:
Total peak power =
- Calculated at 3 times (extreme limit):
Total peak power =
Conclusion
- Continuous total rated power: 1200W
- Instant peak power for start-up and climbing: 3000W~3600W
Supplement
This peak value corresponds to the instantaneous current limit of the controller. Under 60V voltage, the vehicle’s instantaneous surge current can reach about 50~60A, providing power for start-up, steep slope climbing and heavy-load acceleration. It only works for a few seconds and cannot run at full throttle for a long time.
